Scholarships
Some ECU scholarships are available for graduate and undergraduate students participating study abroad. While these are competitive in nature, we hop you will consider applying, and we’re happy to help you with your materials if you need us to.
The ECUAward application portal is now open for Thomas Harriot College of Arts and Sciences (TCHAS) study abroad scholarships for programs in the Spring or Summer I or II 2022 semesters. The deadline to apply is October 17, 2021. For students receiving financial aid, these scholarships can be used in addition to your financial aid funds to fund study abroad expenses. There will be a second call for applications for Summer I or II and Fall 2022 semesters in November 2021.
Applications must be submitted via ECUAward, ECU’s scholarship application system, by 11:59 pm on October 17. Please note that you will need to request a letter of recommendation from an ECU faculty member, so be sure to request this well ahead of the deadline. ECUAward can be accessed via https://ecu.academicworks.com/
If you would like more information on how to pay for study abroad, how to search and apply for programs, and how these programs can be worked into your academic schedule, Study Abroad Information Sessions are held every Tuesday and Wednesday at 4pm In the International House.
